2BWELL Portland | LUR_HORIZONTAL_SIGN_STUDY_3_PLATE_BACKGREEN_CLOSE_UP_2016_ADJ_CC.jpg

Our assistance was requested for transforming a building in Portland’s historic Old Town district with a rich history of uses into a new 2BWELL branch, an acupuncture and holistic health care clinic.

Paint colors and contemporary signage with L.E.D. lighting were designed to complement the building’s original design and gain City of Portland’s historic design review approval. Relocating the original building signage to the waiting room pays homage to the building’s past.

The new space plan and interior design takes advantage of the large wood sash windows and fourteen foot high ceilings. The common spaces are bathed in natural light while the treatment rooms are nurturing and intimate. The waiting room’s bamboo flooring and reception desk casework refer to acupuncture’s origins and provide simplicity and durability with minimal environmental impact.
